How do I sign up for a riding lesson?


There a plenty of ways to sign up to take a riding lesson at Crimson Stables! The best option is to sign up online at www.vagaro.com/crimsonstables. You can also give us a call at (812) 287-7326, or send us an email at info@crimsonstables.com!




Will I be charged for my lesson at the time of booking?


No. A credit or debit card number is necessary to hold a booking in SaddleTime, but you will not be charged for your lesson until after it happens.




Is there a fee to cancel or reschedule my lesson?


All lessons that are cancelled before 24 hours before the lesson will be fully refunded for the lesson. If a lesson is cancelled within the 24 hour window, no refund will be given. Please contact us if there is an emergency or special consideration that requires you to cancel on short notice. If the lesson is cancelled by Crimson Stables within the 24 hour window, a refund will be provided if a reschedule is not possible.




Can I come and just try a horse out, before deciding if I want to take a lesson?


We offer multiple "Stable Days" at our barn where we are able to faciliate pony rides for those who might be interested in riding but would like to sit in the saddle before committing to a lesson. Check out our events page to see when we are hosting our next Open Barn today!




Am I guarenteed the instructor that I chose when booking my lesson?


No. We strive to keep you with the instructor you booked, but occasionally circumstances arise that we may need to change instructors. We will work to give you notice of the change as far in advance as possible.




Am I guaranteed a specific horse?


No. The horse selection is made by the instructors as to provide the best match for your riding discipline and skill level.




What is included in a Birthday Package?


Crimson Stables if proud to offer birthday parties at our stables. Each birthday party package includes: 2 hour party room rental tables and chairs private bathroom kitchenette equipped with a full size refrigerator, sink, and microwave for your needs If you need other accomdations please give us a call at 812-287-7326.




What is the age requirement for riding?


We request children be a minimum age of 5 years old to begin riding at our barn. We offer events; like Falabella Club, to accomodate our younger audience interested in riding.




What is Falabella Club and what are the requirements to participate?


Falabella Club got its name from the smallest miniature horse called a Falabella. This small horse is roughly 8 hands high (which is a form of measurement for horses). Falabela Club is designed for a younger audience of interested horse lovers, preferrably 8 years or younger. This provides a first introduction into horse care, riding, grooming, crafts, feeding the horses treats, and learning about horses. Each Falabella Club attendee gets hands-on experiences with our horses and a chance to take a ride! We do require each child must be able to walk unassisted in order to take a ride on one of our amazing horses.

What is the age requirement for lessons?


We require riders to be a minimum age of 5 years old to begin taking riding lessons. We offer special events for our younger audience; like Falabella Club.




If I purchase an English or Western package, am I locked into riding that discipline until my package is complete?


No! We sell our packages by discipline to make it easy for riders who already know their preferred discipline, or prefer to stick to just one. However, lessons provided in packages can be given in either discipline regardless of original discipline purchased. It is important to let the barn know ahead of time if you are planning to switch so we can ensure you are matched with the right instructor!





English Lessons

What makes English riding different from Western riding?


The English discipline uses different tack than the Western discipline, including a smaller saddle that fits closer to the horses back to allow for a closer connection between horse and rider.
